Desserts to try around the world

There’s always room for dessert!  That’s what I always say even after eating a full course meal.  Before moving out of the states, I was never a fan of desserts until I moved and traveled all over, I finally realized how amazing lots of desserts can be.  Since there are so many delicious desserts around the world, I will post these in sequels to highlight different desserts.

Part 1: 10 Desserts to try around the world

1.  Lokma

Lokma is a small ball-shaped dough that is a bit syrupy.

2.  Cake with Ricotta Cheese

This cake with Ricotta cheese also had a fruit bits inside (I think it was Apricot).

3.  Cafe Gourmand

Cafe Gourmand is a set of desserts that consists of petite cakes, pastries and macaron.  It also has an espresso as well.

4.  Fudge Cake

This fudge cake is called ‘Queen of chocolate fudge cake’.  It’s sweet, moist and home made.

5.  Butterscotch Cake

A sweet cake made from brown sugar, butter, caramel, and fudge.

6.  Halo-Halo

A halo-halo (which literally means mix-mix), is a dessert from the Philippines that consists of shaved ice, fruits and ice cream.

7.  Panna cotta with blueberries

Panna cotta is a dessert made from cream, milk, sugar and gelatin.  This dessert has blueberries in it which makes it a bit sweet and tart.

8.  Honey Bread Toast with cream

This particular bread is quite thick and it is toasted, sugared and topped with cream.

9.  Pastel de Nata

Pastel de nata is an egg tart pastry.  It is commonly found in Portugal.

10.  Turkish delights

There are many variations of Turkish delights, but I think the best ones are the ones with pistachios.  Turkish delight is made from starch and sugar, it’s a bit chewy and sweet.
