Before the summer ended, we went to visit Lake Como in Italy. And on the way to Italy, we crossed 4 other countries (including Germany) within 1 day. It took us about 12 hours to drive down to Italy. The countries we were in within 1 day were (in order) – Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Italy. I was quite fortunate, and I didn’t have to drive. I just enjoyed the scenery and took photos.
Since it was our first time to visit the country of Liechtenstein, we wanted to do at least something there, and we decided to have lunch there. However, when we got there we could not find the central plaza. The country was really small within 30 minutes we were in Switzerland, and that’s were we ended up getting lunch.
When we got to Switzerland for lunch there weren’t any opened restaurant since we were there around 14:30 (yes, we got there after their lunch hours typically 11:30 – 14:00). Thank heavens for McDonald’s! We ate at the Switzerland McDonald’s, and apparently most of the ingredients they use for the McDonald’s are made locally in Switzerland. My verdict: tasted the same, however the prices are almost double the US.
After a long drive, we stayed at one of the hotels in Italy. What I like most about Italy, is that the prices are reasonable and food is delicious.
