Got up early in the morning to catch the Vatican tours at 7:30 a.m. Getting into the Vatican city without a tour means that you have to wait in line for a very long time. So, getting there early and beating the crowd was the best decision I made to see the Vatican.
The Vatican City is a sovereign city-state which was founded on the 11th of February 1929. The Pope is the Head of State in the Vatican. It is also considered the smallest independent state in the world.
One of the famous places to visit in the Vatican City is the Sistine Chapel, a tour will not be complete without seeing this place because of the very famous ceiling painting of Michaelangelo. Unfortunately, you cannot take photos inside the chapel. However, you’ll definitely be amazed on the ceiling art masterpiece when you see it.
Fortunately, got there at the earliest time possible which was 8:00 a.m. If not, it would have been a really long wait:
– Tour from: http://www.whatalifetours.com/
– Wear comfortable shoes and clothing since there’s going to be lots of walking
