The Antalya Toy Museum opened on 23 April 2011, with about 3000 toys from many countries such as Japan, USA, Germany, Turkey and Russia. Some of the toys were produced as early as 1870.
During our walk along the old town coast line, we saw these figurines (photo above) and wondered what they were for. And right next to it was the Toy Museum. It was quite a hot day, so we stepped in to the museum and thankfully it has AC. We decided to check it out, and cool ourselves too. And you can also take photos inside.
The price to get into the museum was 6TL (about 3USD). I think it takes about 30-45 minutes to see the entire museum, it’s not that big. However, it has vintage toys and figurines, that may interest toy fanatics.
Here are some photos from the Museum:
I think this is a great place to take your kids especially when you’re nearby. Also, I found it relaxing to visit since there’s not much people inside. I must admit that some of the vintage toys looked scary to me. And some of them are adorable.
