The Book Cafe is a cafe-restaurant in Budapest, Hungary. It is located at the second floor of the Alexandra bookstore. The cafe has a grand and royalty like design, it features gold color moldings, large ballroom mirrors and fancy chandeliers.
I found out about the cafe through TripAdvisor, while looking for things to do in Budapest. The Book Cafe is about 2 metro stops away from the Heroes Square (or a 15 minute walk). The outside design of the book store is very simple, but the cafe is quite extravagant.
When we got to the cafe, there was only a 5 minute wait (but its busy on certain times). The cafe interior especially the ceilings reminded me of the Palace of Versailles. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the cakes on display at the counter looked so yummy.

Book Cafe is definitely a place to visit in Budapest! It is really beautiful, and a relaxing place. I ordered a cappuccino and cake, and both were delicious. And the prices weren’t too bad. This cafe is on my top favorite cafes to visit in the world.
