After a half-day tour in Gibraltar, we went to eat fish and chips at a nearby restaurant. And then afterwards, while walking along the main street, we saw a sign for ‘Coffee and Cake’. The restaurant had a military-themed look that was quite intriguing so we decided to go and try it out. It’s called Gibraltar Arms. Inside the restaurant walls are decorated with military plaques. We just went in, got seated and checked out the selection of cakes they had.
Everyday from 16:00 – 18:00, Gibraltar Arms serves homemade coffee and cake for 4.50 GBP. If you’re wondering what kind of cake I ordered, I got the Butterscotch cake. It was extremely good and tasty. I didn’t regret one single bit that that’s the one I got, there were also other cakes like chocolate, walnut, carrot, etc.
I wish there was something like this wherever I go, a coffee and cake break.
This was our last stop in Gibraltar, afterwards we headed back to Malaga, Spain. An afternoon coffee break was definitely a great idea.
Have you been to an afternoon tea or coffee?
