Hello Kitty Cafe Hongdae Seoul

The Hello Kitty Cafe in Hongdae, Seoul. Their building is so cute and so pink!

Note:  Today is November 1, 2012 – this post is dedicated to Hello Kitty, its her birthday today!   This is a request re-post for more information and better photos.  Enjoy!

Truth be told, this cafe came to me by surprise, I was not expecting to see it (I didn’t even know it existed).  Back track – so one of my Korean friends recommended that I should go to Hongdae since the shops there sell cute little accessories and she told me that there were tons of cute cafes there (no mention of Hello Kitty).  So, I went there and I actually went to a different cafe prior to visiting Hello Kitty cafe.  Then on one of the turns I saw a big pink building – and there it was the totally kawaii Hello Kitty Cafe, I knew I just had to go there.  Fortunately during my visit, there weren’t many customers so it was easier to take photos.

Inside the magical place of Hello Kitty cafe

As soon as I got inside, I was amazed on how detailed with Hello Kitty decorations the cafe was, everything in Hello Kitty.  This cafe is actually one of my recommended cute cafes to visit in Seoul.

At the counter, look at all the different yummy delights – cakes, waffles, bread, drinks.

One of the wall designs – a Hello Kitty shaped window wall

Me in the Hello Kitty cafe – the seats are so adorable!

Check out the couches – light pink with red bow design

Mint green iced tea – super refreshing.

I wanted to order their cappuccino, waffles or cakes, but I just went to another cafe nearby so I didn’t really get a chance to try out their food.  Maybe next time, I will – I want to try out the waffles.  The prices are actually not so bad (the photo is quite blurry but the prices are shown a bit coffee is like 3000 Won = about $3.00 USD).

Upstairs – for more Hello Kitty seats

Too much Hello Kitty details – even their toilet is Hello Kitty designed.
