Inside the Palace of Versailles

Visiting Versailles wouldn’t be complete without seeing the Palace.  The Palace of Versailles is a chateau surrounded by extravagant English and French gardens.  The Versailles has been around since the 1600’s, and it has taken many transformations over the years.  The most famous rooms to visit are the Hall of Mirrors and State Rooms.

When I visited the Palace, I was completely impressed with all the luxurious details, gold moldings, fine arts and sparkling chandeliers.  However, I couldn’t really enjoy visiting the palace since it was completely packed.  Even before I got inside, it took about 2-3 hours waiting outside the gates.  And what made it worse was that there were people cutting in lines.  Afterwards, the palace was elbow to elbow packed.  Instead of trying to see all of the rooms, I decided to just see the Hall of Mirrors to avoid all of the hassle.  While it was a popular room to visit, a good 2-3 minutes was enough to take photos and admire the beautiful room.
