Life in a day: Las Vegas May 2013

Driving through the Las Vegas Boulevard

Driving through the Las Vegas Boulevard

Las Vegas never cease to amaze me whenever I visit this city.  It always has something fun and exciting things going on – new shopping stores, restaurants, hotels, etc.  Earlier this month, we visited Las Vegas just for a few days to hangout with friends.  We stayed at the Polo Towers in the Las Vegas strip, the location was perfect – walking distance to so many other hotels.  And since it was Spring/Summer, it was really hot, the temperature went up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Earlier in the morning we drove through the Las Vegas Boulevard, which I do not recommend since its always traffic, to take some photos of the hotels.  Even though I have been to Las Vegas like 15 times already, I noticed that I do not have that much photos of the city, so this time I took lots of photos.

One of the hotels I went for the day was the Encore (next to Wynn).  I went here for their Spa facilities.  I was reading online for the best Spas around, and the two that showed up were The Spa at the Encore and The Qua spa at Caesars.  I have been to the one in Caesars so I decided to try the Spa at the Encore.

The Spa at the Encore was very beautiful, words cannot describe how crazy beautiful this place is.  The moment you enter the reception area, it feels very luxurious and every penny paid was definitely worth it.  It cost about $40 to use the Spa facility for the whole day (until 8:00 p.m.).

And for dinner, we ate at the BurGR by Gordon Ramsay.  The wait for this restaurant was about 30 minutes, and it was definitely a must-try restaurant when you visit Las Vegas (located in Planet Hollywood).  My favorite item on the menu was the sweet potato fries, I totally love the vanilla powdered sugar they added.  The restaurant is quite reasonable burgers are around $12-$16.

I hope you enjoyed reading my Life in a Day in Las Vegas for May 2013.
