Seoul has so many shopping centers around the city, and I would like to share with you my favorite top six fashion shops and districts around Seoul. I found out about these places by researching throughout the internet and reading blogs posts. These spots/shops are mainly targeting female shoppers but there are some men shops there as well. I have also organized them according to my favorite #1 being the best, in my opinion. Here are the top 6 Fashion Shops:
1. Dongdaemun Shopping Town
Dongdaemun is a shopping town with five buildings and over 5,000 shops. They sell various items like clothes, accessories, fabrics, etc. This ‘town’ is my favorite place for shopping since I feel like its much easier to look for clothing since they are all located in one location. From what I remember there are about 8 floors on each of the buildings and about 80% of the items are women’s apparel. One of the best things too is that on some of the buildings I think Migliore building, you can actually bargain on the prices. However, the Doota building is like a department store with set prices.
How to get to Dongdaemun: Subway line #2,4,5 for Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station Exit#14
Typical Hours: 10:30 – 5:00 a.m.
2. Myeongdong Shopping District
Myeongdong is probably one of the most famous places for shopping in South Korea. I feel like its a small town filled with tons of shops, cafes and cosmetic stores. Check out my previous post here: Shopping Guide in Myeongdong.
How to get to Myeongdong: Take the Subway line #4 Myeongdong Station, Exit #5,6,7 or 8

3. Ewha Womans University
Ewha Womans University a very lively and cute little town filled with female university students (obviously lol). It is also referred to as ‘Ewha Womans University Fashion Street’. Most of the shops here are very affordable and stylish. So, if you’re looking for something you saw on the magazine, most likely they will have it around here. Not only do they have fashion shops here they also have cosmetic salons, cafes etc.

5. Apgujeong Shopping area
Apgujeong is known to be an affluent and trendy shopping area. It can be said that it is similar to Beverly Hills of California. They even have a street for luxury brands called ‘Rodeo Drive’. Apparently, lots of Korean pop stars and celebrities are spotted going here for shopping and/or hanging out. So, you might even catch a glimpse of your favorite Korean star by going here, not a sure thing but maybe.

Located in the underground basement of the Korea World Trade Center, Coex Mall is a large underground shopping center (biggest underground shopping center in Asia). If you’re near by the Gangnam area, this mall is a great place to see. It has the ever popular COEX Aquarium and Kimchi museum. Also, there are lots of international restaurant in this mall.
