Inside the Trastevere Suite Room

During my visit in Rome, I stayed at the Trastevere Suite which is a Bed and Breakfast.  Each of the rooms have different painted themes – Colosseum, Pantheon, etc.  I believed I stayed at the Colosseum theme.  The host Marco & Elena were excellent in providing help and information around the city.

The Suite is conveniently located minutes from the tram, bus and the train (directly to the airport).

There’s a shared kitchen where you can find hot drinks, juices and cold drinks.  And it is also where breakfast is served (from 8:00 – 10:00).  My favorite food actually is the cake pastry Marco’s grandmother makes (a definite must try!).

I highly recommend this place for those who are looking for a very authentic Rome trip.  Everything is very local especially the food.  There were so many good restaurants around the area from pizza, pasta even the gelatos here were awesome.  Also, the Vatican, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon are pretty close to this location.

The Trastevere Sunday Market

The Trastevere Sunday Market (Porta Portese)

Quite lucky since I stayed in Travestere on a Sunday as well, got a chance to see the Sunday Market.  It was fun to see different things that were being sold and just looking around.
