Bergen is a city in Norway located on the west side. It is known for its Fish Market, Mountains, Fjords and the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf.
Here are some things to do in Bergen Norway:
1. Try out some of the fresh seafood at the Fish Market
The Fish Market at Bergen is quite popular to tourists as well as locals. Here you can find different foods, not only seafood but also snacks, fruits, vegetables and souvenirs.
2. Visit the colorful buildings at Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf
At the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, you can find these colorful buildings. These historical buildings now contains retail, cafes, restaurants and other shops.
3. See the Bergen Art Museum, KODE
The Bergen Art Museum (KODE) has a large collection of famous Norway artists and modern art. It houses the many paintings from Edvard Munch.
4. Have a nice walk at the Bergen Park
The Bergen Park has a nice lake, fountains and sometimes you can find street artworks.
5. Hiking at Mt. Ulriken
Take the Hop on Hop off blue bus (you can find this at the city center) and it goes up to the cable car station. Then, ride a cable car to reach the top of the mountain. There’s a nice restaurant at the top of the mountain, and a fun/exciting hike going down the mountain.
6. Fjord Tour
A Fjord is a long and narrow body of water that was made from glacial erosion. And Bergen is surrounded by many Fjords. There are different Fjord Tours available from Bergen and during my trip I took the ‘Norway in a Nutshell’ where the tour ended in Oslo.
Also, check out these cute shops in Bergen.
