A trip to Linderof Palace

Linderof Palace

The Linderof Palace is palace that was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria around the late 1860’s.  This palace was one of the three palaces he built during his lifetime – the other two were Neuschwanstein and Herrenchiemsee.

In comparison to other palaces, the Linderof is quite small, however the surroundings around the palace are extravagant.

There are three admission tours around the palace – Palace & Park buildings (8.5 Euros), Park Buildings only (5 Euros) and Royal Lodge (2 Euros).  During my trip to Linderof, I chose the Park Buildings tour to visit the Grotto.  And I also walked around the palace gardens, and I think that these gardens are the prettiest I have seen anywhere else.  Here are some photos at the Linderof Palace:
